Tech jobs moving to India 📦

As summarized by Nancy Morgan Hart in this video, on her "Headlines with a Voice" Youtube channel, and as reported in quite a bit more detail in a running thread on Michelle Malkin's twitter feed, https://twitter.com/michellemalkin, there have been "recent layoffs of thousands of high-skilled American workers" while at the same time some of the same corporations are opening up major contracts with companies in India for similar high tech skills. I've long suspected that the difference in pay scales between American programmers (such as I was for a long time), and programmers in many other non-"Western" nations would not last forever. Nor would this end due to programmers in India receiving "American level wages" but rather it would be American programmers being laid off and struggling to land lower paying opportunities.

The deliciousness of globalization. If your job is portable across borders, it will/may go away. On the other hand and anectodally, most of the IT folks at my company are of Indian origin...
