Personally, I'm not convinced.. the video included shows someone using a grinder to cut into some material presumed to be 'proteus' material but the user is either purposely doing a poor job or is just a rookie. He pushes into the material hard enough to stop the grinder.. which is poor form when cutting with a grinder, you must allow it to do the work. You don't push it into the work with great force as this person is doing. Promising, but seeming a bit too good to be true for the moment. Look forward to 3rd party testing when it comes to that.

I wonder what happens if you hit it with a hammer, or take some other non-cutting approach. Perhaps it is very brittle, like carbon fiber.

I wonder how it sounds when bolt cutters snip it in two. Does it make a satisfying ping, or does it sort of crunch as you cut through with the one tool used on bike locks. No one uses a grinder or drill on bike locks, they use bolt cutters, which were missing from the article.
