From what I hear, it's common that we sympathise far far more with Tom as we grow up.

While this is a good display of the power of current technology, just looks much more lively. 60FPS looks overdone (except in some very specific, quick parts). Nevertheless, it's interesting to see how far we've reached with this.

"AI" isn't really necessary for this. Twixtor or native Premiere (Optical flow setting) will insert intelligent frames vs just doubling them through (frame sampling). I like it for some things but not for most. Our eyes are trained from a young age towards 24fps in movies vs 60fps for the "Soap opera" effect. This coupled with the "180" rule for shutter speed allows for a natural blur when there's movement.. Get these wrong and it's very noticeable or even jarring to some viewers.

This is good for digitally drawn anime but for hand drawn animations I prefer to watch the original unaltered version.

I can't really tell the difference ngl. Although i've heard of the technique they're using here from Two Minute Papers, it's pretty cool

Some scenes are improved, as where Tom is running from wringer to ironing board and where Jerry juggles eggs, but for 'acting' moments, it's like a junior tweener who doesn't understand his craft yet and just smooths over all actions without thinking about appropriate timing.
