Is the AMD 5950x a paper launch? 📦

Despite paid authors helping us to redefine pesky terms like "paper launch", there' s a pretty good test....Did you or anyone you know successfully buy one? As of today, the answer for me is a solid "Nope". Every seller is out and looks to be out for some time. When you release a product and can't fill 5% of orders, I'm calling it a paper launch. Anyone here bought one or have any info?

Every launch for everything is a paper launch these days, it seems.

I think a lot of it is the yield. It's easy to get the medium to low end parts but the chips to make these higher end CPUs and GPUs are less likely to be produced. This is my guess. I think we're also at an economic position where more people have the money to drop on these higher end parts than I'm the last.

I think so, but it is not as bad as the RX 6000 series. Now that is a paper launch lol
