Yes. Comcast makes it difficult to use your own router, they whitelist every router so you cant just swap it. My landlord is too fucking lazy to call and it's under his name, so we are stuck splitting the fee.

Exactly you have to call every single time you want to change routers, its asinine. But thats Comcast.

Wow I didn't know this was a thing. Over here the ISP sends you a router for free and you get to keep it forever. However the routers are cheap crap.
