So with a lot of people choosing to cancel holiday parties, I was wondering what tools and technologies you guys recommend for creating virtual parties (or events) if family or friends still want to do something. Discuss self-hosted vs. host options. Comment ideas on things to use in these categories (and more categories to add) and maybe I can add to list (or other guilds too): Video: [Jitsi Meet](https://jitsi.org/jitsi-meet/), [Signal Video Chats (Limited to 5 Callers)](https://www.signal.org/), (Zoom exists too but... not as recommended?) Dropbox? Ideas: Watch Party, Share Knowledge, Share photos and videos, etc. Related Guilds: +selfhosted (just a quick post, help me add to it your ideas)

That's more or less my attitude but not a lot of people around me Addendum: Another consideration for some of us is snowstorms that make it difficult (or in some years unnecessarily dangerous) to drive
