And they have physical access to your phone. Basically they are reading the messages off a phone's hard drive.

They didn't actually. I can claim to have a 12 inch dick, doesn't mean that's true. In the case of Cellebrite, they could, you know, just unlock the app and read the messages... They didn't crack or hack anything.

I’ll grant that that is a fair criticism except for the fact that there isn’t currently an open source messenger app with all of the above features and comparable developer base in existence. Doesn’t mean there couldn’t be, just stating the reality.

End to end encryption only works on mobile devices. I use telegram 99.9% of time on desktop.
