Pshhhht. I'm still rocking a 2600k just fine... No need to upgrade *just* yet.

Sandy Bridge knocked it outta the park

Yeah. There seriously hasn't been a well developed game that I've come across that's CPU bottlenecked. Overclocked to 4.6 GHZ, nothing can stand in it's way.

I think pretty soon here unfortunately that won't be the case 😕

Damn I can't afford any of these chips with new architecture, but I'm wondering if I should wait to upgrade because I've been told by a couple of people that NVIDIA's purchasing of ARM could mean some new high quality CPUs might be in the works. These people are also telling me that the energy efficiency of ARM could be the future of computing, but I'm not so sure. Is it worth upgrading rn?

Atm imo no. I am waiting for AM5, DDR5 and maybe even MCM GPUs. ARM will def make a dent in x86 in the 2020s tho

Dude I'm actually so pumped about DDR5. I read it was a little to hot off the factory line for a gaming investment, but in good time it will be totally ready for us.

God I hate these naming schemes. I can't buy parts anymore because I need the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to understand what the names even mean and which parts to get. Screw the disgusting mess the desktop world has become.
