Apple cars? Who the fuck is going to buy that. Can't wait till the server crashes and your car stops because it cannot report to apple where you are going
>Apple Inc is moving forward with self-driving car technology and is targeting 2024 to produce a passenger vehicle that could include its own breakthrough battery technology
>breakthrough battery technology

Just what we all needed. A car that will, over time, intentionally slow down its average speed via software, as an incentive to buy another. There will be no mechanics allowed to legally exist that aren't working for Apple, and parts will be so proprietary, you will be sued for even thinking about fabricating a third party part.
Good news. Glad it’s official now. Teslas aren’t very user friendly and look a bit ugly/compressed. I look forward to seeing what Apple provides instead.
I’m not interested in anything driverless though and won’t ever use that mode. The whole point of having a car is driving for fun. I’m interested in user friendliness. I think Apple could do wonders to the car industry in that department.
There were reports like 6 years ago that they were working on a car. I’m not sure if it’ll ever make it to market and if it does if it will succeed, but based on those old reports and these new speculations, I am sure they’ve been working on something. Your suggestion is entirely possible too, but they have worked on a car in the past.
>they have worked
Who says? Those same stock manipulators? Why do you trust anything the media says about ANY category of news? What gives you the impression they’re “totally not going to lie about” any given thing? Apple has worked WITH cars in the past, absolutely; they brought in a whole slew of models to design and build CarPlay into them. But they’re building their own car like they’re building their own HDTV (remember that one?) or buying Nintendo. Meaning not at all.
You do know that board members generally don't like being jerked around, right? The likelihood that they created an illegal hoax for a marginal bump in stock price vs the likelihood that they are actually doing diverse R&D that might prove to be vaporware is extremely low.
