Couldn't be a coincidence Elon Musk launched another 10 satellites on the last record setting payload delivery of over 100 satellites total. If they don't trip him up, it could change the planet.
There is going to have to be at least two different satellite systems, or you're just moving the big tech problem from one company to another that requires you to have their equipment.
Be careful what you wish for.
He seems focused on providing service to everyone outside of current cable/high speed internet infrastructure. There is no competition at the moment for most of the country so this is what's been needed to challenge the cabal.
I'm not saying it's not needed. I'm waiting for my beta invite. I'm just saying that a runaway success will bring its own problems, like Elon doing something stupid and losing control of it to some board of directors or any other host of things outside his control.
At least they tried. The alternative is to complain that no one has tried using balloons. Even if you don't like them, google did it and they couldn't make it work. Now we know for sure and can move on.
Every company has different strategy and risk assesment ofc. If you're willing to take on more risky projects you'll fail more often than if you stick to relatively conservative ventures.
