Why is copying and pasting on cell phones still such a shit show? 📦

They should have figured a better way to do this by now. I'm sick of holding down my finger and having nothing happen, or having to oh so carefully move the little slider. I propose that cell phones come with dedicated copy and paste buttons. Samsung is already halfway there if they repurpose that damn Bixby button that no one uses.

didnt you just describe a problem with selecting text that you wanted to copy? how does a copy button help select text?

It does not neccesarily help with that part. But it would help with the nonresponsive (or slow to respond) screen and speed up the process generally. Perhaps to solve the other issue, the phone could automatically zoom in to an area so you can have a bigger cursor that is easier to control.

i think android used to have that years ago and had to drop it because of patent fuckery
