This seems like a very loose definition of 3D printing.
I think they mean: automated construction.
For those that are unaware, prefab homes have been a big deal for a long time, but they have been seen as homes for poor people. But when snobs walk into the new prefab homes, they don't even realize that they are in rooms or entire houses that were delivered by truck.
If you are planning to build a cabin in a remote area, prefab is really the only sensible way to go.
