The Encyclosphere will be a decentralized, leaderless, centerless network of encyclopedic content, which does for encyclopedias what the Blogosphere did for blogs. But to make such a network, we need encyclopedia format standards. Wikipedia ex-founder Larry Sanger is starting the Knowledge Standards Foundation to convene a discussion and coding efforts to creating such standards.

This is interesting maybe there should be more well known online encyclopedia other than Wikipedia. And all this is being done by the founder of Wikipedia? Maybe some thing to look into.

Eh, things can happen; if more search engines and video sites links to multiple encyclopedia websites instead of just the one "Wikipedia" then things can change. Google and Youtube only use Wikipedia.
