This was a shakedown of Big Tech so politicians could get campaign funds. But this gave Big Tech leverage to get away with all kind of crazy things. Also the normies enable this by flocking like sheep the biggest sites. The only current threat to this Silicon Valley social network monopoly is Tik Tok because it's Chinese.
