They used to support RSS on youtube but removed it. Unless they bring back the option to unhackily subscribe to YouTube through RSS, I'll consider this a ploy to get control of the users RSS habits on top of the Google data.

I've heard good things about RSS. Can someone give me a good guide or three on how to get started with modern RSS? I used to use Mozilla Thunderbird's RSS reader but that was long, long ago.
