Well that's a good thing for the rest of us actually.

Yeah, China is the biggest mining country by far. This will make mining difficulty plummet significantly

So does this mean environmentalist groups will be cheering this move as "good for the planet" while simultaniously ignoring the enormous carbon/plastic pollution China makes?

I've heard that it's the bitcoin miners also causing the hard drive shortage right now.

Chia plotters/farmers to be more specific. The farming uses up massive ammounts of harddrive space, the plotting burns through SSDs to prepare the farms

> the plotting burns through SSDs "But we called it a green currency!"

BASED CHINA! This will mean: - less centralization of crypto mining in China - less pollution from Chinese power used for mining - possibly better GPU prices - China dislikes it so other countries who ban/restrict it will be seen as siding with China Everyone is happy! Crypto supporters, environmentally concerned people, consooomers and gaymers Except the people who want it gone, ironically BASED. CHINA.

"Mining pollution" you fell for the psyop, sorry to tell you this, but this only proves you are an NPC puppet.

Did I say I agree? For the people that do China banning crypto is good Also politics aside China isn't especially environmentally friendly in terms of, well, anything. Idk about you but I don't think sulphuric acid in the air is very good for anyone or anything.
