Apple isn't in the best interests of the user

How does he know what's in the best interest of the user? I'm tired of tech companies acting as a parent and telling me what I can and can't do with the product I paid for.

Apples been doing this for a while and its one of the reasons i switched to android. Granted even with most google stuff off im still in the hands of google until i switch to maybe a linux phone?

Librem has the right idea but needs.a bit more polish to really shine, from what I've read.

Well im running an S9 now for over a year. Apple pissed me off with forcrd updates and they replaced my phone 7 times during warranty and told.me to simplu buy a new one. Love android but despite having most android services off or not using them i want them.off my phone. Fb was force loaded and sadly i still use it for marketplace. Eitherwise only signal, texting, calling OsmAnd maps and ruqqus. So i hope linux moves along asap.

Fuck you apple that's why I switched to Android, was so I could install Apps from other sources than the primary store.

I haven't actually installed any third-party apps yet, but as a developer it'll definitely come in handy if I try to make any apps Overall, I prefer android for the freedom of customisation (I like custom home menus and icon packs) and the fact that the phones that support it are much cheaper - no way am I paying at least 600 for a phone that's only built to last a couple years at most

I'm much the same with my customization. The phone should flow with me as much as possible, not the other way around.

Exactly, I would hate being forced to use my phone in a way defined by someone else

Sounds authoritarian and Orwellian.

I wonder if he's even familiar with the concept of irony? ![](https://media.giphy.com/media/v0ok8uhZvw3yE/100w.gif)

All major tech makers are a mixed bag of shit. Personally I will give up the freedom of third party apps to not be a part of the Google ecosystem. I’m a technology retard anyways so it’s probably better to limit what I can do so I don’t break it. I have a lot of other skills and frankly don’t care enough to learn the ins and outs of tech stuff so I’ll never do anything necessary for third party apps anyways.

It is for those of us who know what we're doing.

He didn’t say it was banned. He didn’t even say it was harmful. All he said was “not in the best interest of”. He could not have softballed that any more. It’s the equivalent of “Don’t enter. Or do I’m just a sign.”

Apple products are for sheep who don't mind being told what to do as long as they look and feel trendy.
