When will people learn that racing should be left to the track, or at least off-road? I can't say I have much sympathy for idiots dying by going over 120 MPH on the road.

Never bet against people being dumbasses.

> Things changed in May, when a three-judge panel of the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the parents of three young men who died in a crash in Wisconsin while using speed filter to record speeds of up to 123 mph have a right to sue Snapchat. Since it was from the Ninth Circuit it would not surprise me if the Supreme Court could overturn this. In any case it’s the fucking idiots who drove that fast who are ultimately responsible for their deaths, Snapchat told users not to snap and drive.

Why would they not just make it a multiplier of your actual speed and/or cap it at something reasonably low

Or, and here's an idea, not encourage people to drive and record videos for social media credits.
