This Nuclear-Powered Superyacht Is Longer Than the Titanic and Costs $700 Million | Architectural Digest

A nuclear-powered gigayacht longer than the Titanic, with 22 state-of-the art laboratories and a 13-story “science sphere,” might sound like the floating headquarters of a criminal mastermind. But Earth 300 is actually a revolutionary exploration vessel designed to investigate climate change and other challenges that face our planet. Designed by naval architect Iván Salas Jefferson, founder of Iddes Yachts, the 300-meter vessel has a radically aerodynamic look. It’s been envisioned as an “extreme technology platform,” incorporating robotics, AI, and quantum computing to attract the best and brightest minds from a wealth of fields.

ah yes, the reason this private company is developing a lavish superyacht is for "science". uh huh. Is that why VIP guests will be billed $3 million for entry? what a joke. i resent everything about this concept.

Yes, absolutely ridiculous. >"TerraPower, the nuclear innovation company founded by Bill Gates, devised the technology for the onboard molten-salt reactor, which will provide zero-emissions energy." These are the kinds of elitist pricks who enjoy wafting in the smell of their own farts convinced of their own self-superiority.

Oh Bill Gates, that explains everything, wouldn't be surprised if there was another more sinister reason behind them spending so much on a giant luxury yacht involving jurisdictions since Epstein's island is no longer an option. Now normally I wouldn't put much stock in the bitching of a bitter ex-partner but if she is to be believed the reason I think this might be the case is apparently he did the billionaire playboy thing quite a bit and like others I agree this is probably going to be his latest plaything. No coincidence as well that he's buying up tons of farmland and suddenly decided to start this very self-sustaining yacht project.

Such potentially usefull tech like a reactor and lab. But instead of using it to give cities nuclear or use the lab for real solutions.
You waste it on this.
