Windows XP was the last operating system they offered. It's an app service since then. Have some self-respect and fire them. Linux and virtualbox when the rare special case is needed.

until you need to do real work and get paid for it. Then your choices for that work are Windows and MacOS. I love Linux but its not always the best tool for the task at hand, and a VM is not an answer for that in the cases i am talking about

Definitely pursue where you make your money to specialize skills in. Linux has come so far that today I've been able to migrate exclusively to that environment for productive work. Worth shaking on every now and again and see if it's come far enough.

not for video & photo. MacOS or Windows only for the industry standard tools and yes i know about alternatives in Linux. They do not cut it. Same with a real Excel solution as a power user. Libre shits the bed with some things i do
