As someone who works security, I'mma call BS. Criminals would be more likely to shoot a robot for the fun of it. Cause shooting robots is a fun, (sort of) victimless crime, like vandalism. Shot the bot (hahaha) the bot makes funny noises (hardier har) and then you smash it with your feet or a baseball bat (seriously good times as you scream based C3PO slurs at the malfunctioning robot). Hell, drunk people will murder the robot for kicks. Fuck it, I'd murder the robot for kicks because they make funny noises when they die. Also, what the hell is the robot gonna do? Yell at you? Robots yelling at you is almost as funny as fucking them up.
