Is The 24-Pin Connector Dead?

Hurray! Down with 24 pin connectors! Now if only they'd get rid of those stupid power pins for buttons and LEDs, I didn't know this had been in development.

Makes me wonder how often you've had to put in a new power supply, not an issue of strength, even with the motherboard properly screwed in I'm often terrified of breaking something trying to get the damn thing out and you have to wiggle it out anyway not yank it. Like with CD/DVDs I'm very glad this is a technology that's going obsolete.

They are more difficult to separate, yes, but they are easily repairable and modifiable. There's no need to save this space inside server and PC cases. There's no point to have it in a PC, and it's too big for a laptop, so, why?
