Related: +IPFS +Replatforming +Decentralized_Internet AFAIK it still needs Tor support, coming after 1.0. It's an exciting project, but I'll be more excited when that is complete.

I hesitate to endorse IPFS because it feels like it would be ripe for big business/big government to apply content-based censorship or search nearby computers for "disallowed" files through CID requests. That being said, I suppose similar things could already happen with website names, and it's been resisted so far, so perhaps it's not too much to worry about or there are other creative solutions for those problems.
