How does this compare to jellyfin?

Looks similar, but it looks like this is just for music so it's probably a smaller/simpler code base.

That, and additionally pretty much all of the music servers implementing the subsonic protocol have some slight differences on how they handle your library and capabilities surrounding that (think like multi-artist tracks, or albums spanning multiple disks), so if you're aware of any particular needs you around that probably good to check.

THAT is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I only care about music. So, in theory, I can put this on a Pi 4 server, maybe in a Docker? I don't care about tagging music files or album covers - just playlists and sound quality. If anyone has suggestions from personal experience, please tell me. I use Quod Libet on my Debian desktop now and think it 100% fine for my needs - though, I am no expert on sound quality (want to learn more about it, though).

Yeah it sounds like this would be a good fit. A Pi is definitely capable enough to be a music server.

I just read the Pi 4 has audio problems. I am hoping they fixed that by now.

Cool. I've been looking for something like this to DeGoogle my life.
