My chrome browser seems to be hijacked by wifiblaster advertising 📦

This has happened multiple times this morning. I open a link from ruqqus (oann, breitbart) and an ad for wifiblaster.com pops up. Twice chrome just crashed and i had to restart it. Sometimes it tells me that my network connection is broken. Another time the ad went thru to the wifiblaster.com web site without me clicking on it. Chrome 83 64 bit on win 10. Any ideas?

https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/ try malwarebytes and see if it catches whatever. might have picked up an extension or something with another program or update

Thanks @Septicaemic, that seems to have done the trick. Found 22 PUPs and one threat. Thinking back, I had to install (with reservations after bad press here) zoom on Saturday. Then things started going weird. Zoom is now gone as well.
