Raspberry Pie and RetroPi SNES case

If this is not allowed, please let me know. I am seeking some help as i now see that the Raspberry Pie guild was removed here. I purchased the SNES RetroFlag case with controller and I wanted to use the controller on my homebrew mac PC computer under Open Emu. But i cant get the system to recognize the controller at all. its a USB RetroFlag controller that would be perfect for classic gaming on a computer. I tried googling around but Open Emu simply doesn't see the controller. Any ideas? I tried RetroPi on the Pi itself but being its a 3B+ model it didnt have compatibility with newer stuff so i preferred the computer. ANy help would be appreciated.

I have that controller and it works fine on Linux. Has kernel drivers. Mac probably needs a driver. You can just make a Linux usb boot to play it. Or buy a more popular controller like PS4 or Xbox
