My God.... Zoom was already bad with security issues and now China....

There were multiple warnings here to not use zoom. In the end, under pressure, I used it on a pc where it worked ok. Then my PC got sick and I found it had malware on it. Now deleted. The whole concept of a group video tool like this is wrong. Because everyone can be seen at once in video it leads to a group think where everybody is unconsciously pressured to agree with whomever is talking.

Never used it, crazy how it suddenly exploded though, is it really much different to Skype?

Yes, you can have multiple people (we had 4) on one call, all with video. Would be perfect for distance education - except that china is involved in it somehow.

The whole promise to 'do better' shit makes me heave. Does anyone buy this shit anymore? All the big tech and media companies with the same ridiculously see through bullshit all the time.
