In about a year they will have the entire rural broadband market. A year after that most of the world and shortly after that be the most valuable company in the world.

I wonder if they have service in my area?

They'll probably be able to cover all of America, so I think you're fine. Many people in rural parts only have regular satellite with 500 ping and .5 mbps, so they're the biggest customers

If they can provide upload speeds at around 100mbps on the gigabit tier I'd definitely be interested. AT&T Fiber is available in my area at $50/mo for symmetrical gigabit but I think this would be pretty awesome to have.

Not everyone is lucky as you, in some places Comcast controls all the internet bc monopoly and charge insane prices for trash speeds

Yep I'm currently using Comcast because it allows me to get a direct WAN IP on my router via bridge mode whereas AT&T doesn't. It's absolutely garbage and there are multiple outages daily. I'm lucky if I get half of the advertised speeds. I'm hoping Starlink will also provide a bridge mode feature so users can get direct WAN IPs.
