Interesting. I thought apple had a system in place to stop apps from accessing parts of their system. Maybe they didn't think about the clipboard because its such a standard kind of feature? Unfortunately don't think this will do anything to TikTok though. There has been worse that came out about TikTok and people didn't care unfortunately.
Terrible. Someone in the comments is speculating that this is due to TikTok trying to prefetch contacts' profile pictures in case there's an email address in the clipboard that will be used soon.
I don't know if that's true or not, but I really hate this pattern (Zoom is one of the worst offenders) of "completely destroy all concept of security and privacy and a functional operating system for the tiniest of microsecond-level conveniences". It's straight-up evil.
