The spyware's still not worth it. I'll stick with Brave.

started using brave a week ago. So far I really like it and it uses chrome extensions but doesn't steal your data.

If you haven't tried it already, I recommend the Chromium Edge.

I haven't touch chrome since became a black hole of ram. Nowadays Firefox is not only more lightweight but also doesn't steal all your data.

Or you can use The Great Suspender (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/the-great-suspender/klbibkeccnjlkjkiokjodocebajanakg) I use it in Brave. It shuts down tabs after a specified amount of time. Simply click on them to load them back up. I have tons of tabs open in a bunch of different windows (different subjects, etc.) and Brave doesn't use more than about 6.5% of my laptop's processor. It's been around for years.

If you care at all about digital privacy you shouldn't be using Chrome at all.
