Man put on his fedora and started handing out bans.

For context the thread was talking about a few different movies and shows and I said "I haven't watched star wars, but that's what other people say" and then talked about High Guardian Spice and it's awful writing and why it was awful and how it could have been fixed, but the writers didn't care. So, I didn't complain about a movie I hadn't watched, none of the things I posted broke any rules, nor was I complaining about anything other than bad writing in a show? And somehow this person went back way over a year to ban me for something not harmful. My guess is they actually liked High Guardian spice or some shit.

Congrats. You found a regard.
2
what's that mean?
3
You were minding your own business and had the displeasure of finding a power tripping a-hole. Happened to many of us here, sadly. This site is fucking insane.
3
Regard means “retard”
1
Ohh, gotchya.
4
There you go, you were critical of a sacred cow. And are thus a bigot right wing trump supporter and must be banned for the greater good
1
Why what is high guardian spice?

It was an American made "anime" that was painfully mediocre, poorly written that leaned heavily on LGBT representation to give it's characters personality. And it was created by Crunchyroll, an anime streaming service as an original program when the vast majority of it's subscribers would have preferred them to have used that money to license or dub an actual anime.

I could give a lot of a reviews on it, as well as I wrote a 'fixed script' to try fixing the problems the show had. but the first problem was the world building.>! It had very little. For instance, they make a point that there's old magic (conservative republican) and new magic (democratic progressive) but didn't actually say what was different about them, they just arbitrarily decided "someone used old magic" and nobody viewing it understands why it's old magic vs new magic. Also old vs new magic was a lazy way to describe it. My fix here would have been old magic could have been something like Evocation where it required an oral component and took too long, but while it took longer, the effects were better and new magic used arcana type magic assisted tools (staffs, magic globes, etc.) to create faster, near instantaneous magic but the effects of were less because of how much quicker the spells were to use, but make it a plot point that the speed came with another drawback such as taking mana from the air and plant nearby them so it would slowly decay the world. (There was a plot point about the Rot killing off the land, but we know nothing about it because while it was stated to be a central antagonistic plot, nothing was ever done with it). !< >!The second are the characters and hypocrisy. For instance, Rosemary is loud, obnoxious and completely self absorbed. So it's quirky and a fun! But she falls in love with a guy who is very much the same, and then he becomes a villain just because he has the same personality she has but is man, so now let's abuse men for doing the same thing a girl did. And by that I mean lots of physical assault. Rosemary also treats her sword like a toy, but nothing bad ever really comes from that, and she's supposed to be a 'warrior' type but is totally untrained so it makes it completely ridiculous just because her mama was some legendary swordswoman who never trained her. !< >!the lgbt issues were so saturated in this without making it relevant to the world it was kind of cringeworthy. And I say this 'as a gay'. When they drop the trans bombs, it's so unnatural. When they talk about lesbians, it's so forced and they also do it for the viewers because the characters who they're explaining they're trans/lesbian to don't react to it at all. The second trans (possibly) character Snapdragon could have been done well with his battle for identity between masculine and feminine, but the only thing we got from this was "maybe" and "bullied by toxic masculinity" !< >!The only character really done well was Amaryllis who was designed to be a minor villain and we were supposed to hate her, except hatewatchers and fans alike actually loved Amaryllis (Crazy Axe murder Girl if you google it)!< basically... yeah, a lot of problems. and Genericusername went over some of it, but the show itself was controversial even before because crunchy roll asked for donations for JAPANESE animation studios and people donated a lot of money, but instead gave the money to a small studio of white girls who banked on being 'diverse' despite being only white girls who were very much overpaid to make this shitty show and people wanted their money back because crunchyroll DID say it was going to go to Japanese animators. Not worthless flash students.

The fact they're allowed to mute you after asking one or 2 questions is ridiculous. I understand having the feature for someone who keeps going or spamming, but it should be punishable to mute someone after one or 2 questions clarifying their ban.
8
😂 what a bunch of losers
8
This is disturbing
9
It used to be reportable to reddit admins for a sub to ban someone for commenting in another sub... wish that was still a thing.
3
The fact they got rid of it shows how big of hypocrites they are when it comes to "free speech". They're like Google going from a "do good" motto to what they are now.
2
I think that went away right around when subs like justice served mass banned people
1
really? What's the story on that drama? I hadn't heard they did that.
1
They tried to make it sound like it was an act of bettering the Reddit community [post link](https://www.reddit.com/r/JusticeServed/s/pZr91De1lj) And basically ended up banning tons of people for participating in things like joe rogan’s sub.
1
You mean the quintessential actual liberal that people tried to turn into the 'right wing nazi because he must be cause he looks like an actual guy, so must be toxic masculinity' Joe Rogan? Damn, so many stupid people.
1
They definitely eat their own. I think Rogan has even endorsed Bernie Sanders at some point in the past? Because he hunts and critiqued Fallon Fox, competing in the UFC he’s suddenly a right wing nut job.
4
Lmao, I just got banned and muted from there, too. Kid must be tripping hard lol
2
Yeah, reddit really needs a way for mod abuse like that to be reported. It's not right, and those people should not be allowed to be mods.
1
I have reached out to reddit support 4 or 5 times over the last few years for just this, and a few other topics. I have never gotten a response from them.
2
What a bunch of drooling idiots.
7
this is so going to bite reddit in the ass someday when everyone gets sick of being micromanaged and i am here for it and will take glee in watching it happen.
9
Just need a viable alternative. The problem is leaving will only make this place even more of a lefty echochamber than it already is. Place needs to be shut down.
4
Let it be that. Nature will take it's course. Right now, your only other option is 4chan. Anything else will get big just like reddit did, and then will get consumed by capitalism and advertisers, who will then begin to censor speech.
1
Telegram and Gab both function perfectly without the negative aspects of 4chan.
2
They're not message boards and usually require invites to channels.
2
Telegram
2
Viable alternative would be allowing moderators from both sides of the spectrum (less and more censorship) to be able to have a quorum on decisions but instead its power hungry losers who were picked on in school, now abusing their powers. Being able to get muted from messaging a moderator, but not being able to see who it is you’re messaging, is the most lopsided nonsense period. This whole system exists in a fantasy world where moderators would be perfectly impartial, which we know is practically impossible when dealing with humans.

These liberal mods are getting out of hand
4
I don't even want to call them liberal because a true liberal wouldn't behave like this. this is closer to leftist totalitarianism where if you don't believe what they say unquestioningly and in the right order of words, it is to be destroyed. Or banned in this case.
1
Fair enough but liberals act like that now so…regardless I agree with you
3
> a true liberal wouldn't behave like this. You clearly haven't ever disagreed in a liberal subreddit.
2
The people who are being called 'liberal' as an insult aren't actually liberal by definition.
1
There is a difference. I’d argue most Republicans are liberal.
1
I don't get if this is satire or people on this subreddit just make non politcal things political.
1
Right? Liberal mods won’t allow it though. Totally agree
1
Oh, it's not satire, that is pretty sad :(
1
I get it man it’s tough dealing with those “people”
1
There are people you can talk to my man, I'm not even trying to be mean but blaming stuff on a group of people is some unhealthy behavior.
1
Totally agree, when they ruin the country they should be shamed. Not trying to be mean or anything but passively ignoring what’s going on is extremely unhealthy. Stand up for something or you’ll fall for anything. Cheers
1
That's a very normal thing to say when no one is talking about politics.
1
Sure we are, lol!
1
why are the posts being removed? o.o
3
Have you not been on the rest of reddit? It's the exact same shit except talking about Republicans/conservatives
5
I was banned from a sub to, for no reason. Reddit Is quite crazy and anti-free speech. Thousands of mods with egos out there abusing their authority

Another option for reviewing removed content is your ***Rev***eddit [user page](https://www.reveddit.com/y/W!o!r!g!e!n!s!g!o!w!o!o!f?all=true). The [real-time extension](https://www.reveddit.com/add-ons/direct/) alerts you when a moderator removes your content, and the [linker extension](https://www.reveddit.com/add-ons/linker) provides [buttons](https://i.imgur.com/0BAImPq.png) for viewing removed content. There's also a [shortcut for iOS](https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/62bc7570613c42cb8b851fad264136df). The parent commenter can reply with 'delete' to remove this comment. I know this is a conservative subreddit, but is there no line for "OP gets banned for being an asshole, not for saying some revelatory statements that are being censored?" Also a gay conservative? Really guy, stop hating on yourself, it is not a good look.
1
Not a gay conservative. There wasn't anything in the post of me being an asshole, as subjective as that may be, I wasn't insulting anyone, I was breaking down and critiquing a show.
1
If you don’t think exactly the way I do it’s not a good look. Brother, the irony here is you are the bigoted one.
1
The irony here is that you don't understand irony.
1
There are several career mods on that subreddit, real nut cases
1
They do it for free 🧹
1
Career moderators just means they’re a moderator on very large subreddits and generally enforce very weird rules, or just censor people
1
You probably were "involved" with a reddit that the mods don't like and they have a bot that bans users from there.
1
/r/movies banned me about a month after I last posted there.
