Monetizing circle jerks for the most part. As for "free speech", you have the right to speak (by making your own subreddit) but you don't have the right to force others to listen. There are all kinds of individuals and groups that post content that others find objectionable all over the internet, and there's not much that can be done about it. That's one of the prices of freedom.
