Shit like this has been around sinds the internet. How do you think all those anti trump subreddits with very low subscriber count get on top of r/all each day?

30K points and 2000 subs.

well obviously it's because drumpf is finished, sessions is resigning, and putin is moving into the white house tomorrow. resist!!!1111

"sinds" Seriously?
21
a typo? Never.

How tho. Look at your keyboard and compare it with the word "since". It wasn't a typo, it was a misspelling.
13
\*looks at keyboard\* The keys are right next to each other?
5
Oh hell these keys combine to make shit?

Even if it was. Idk if the op is but in dutch sinds actually means since so it might have ourocorrected either in his mind or phone.

>Who would buy upvotes anyway? It's such a passing thing. - Shareblue, CTR to name two.

They've been doing it a lot for the last year or so. You can look back at the comments on top threads from a year or so ago and you will find a serious difference between the tone and content of the messages for more polarized topics.

i wonder how many subs david brock is a mod of now
22
well, I suspect he is probably pretty close to owning the admin at this stage. I am not sure how anything other than that, could justify reddit's allowance of the obviously gamed anti-Trump subs, while at the same time censoring r/The_Donald, while at the same time getting caught editing a past post, etc, etc, etc... The only way that makes sense to me is if reddit itself is just under Brock's balls.

he probably fucks spez in the ass nightly

Why buy when they run tons of bots though.

Figuring out perfect conditions to filter out spammers is tricky. It's one of the difficult problems ahead of [me](https://www.reddit.com/r/raddi).

Extremely tempted to give these people a call and waste as much of their time as possible before telling them to go fuck themselves and hang up.
12
You'd only be wasting your own time.
3
Why waste your time, they are actually getting paid to make Reddit a shithole, while most lusers here just do it for free by being groupthinking morons. I actually cheer them, hopefully they can sink Reddit while making money doing it.

Has anyone read their FAQ page? I'm curious as to how true [this](http://imgur.com/1STrXFT) is.
9
You see anti trump subreddits get away with it, so it can't be too harsh
2
I had no idea. Thanks for the reply.
10
This has been a thing for some time.

I wonder gow much i can sell my account for
4
You think that is weird? There is also a "black market" out there where you can sell your ebay account. The older and more established the better.
2
We should pool together and get some topics front page.

A dollar for every ten upvotes?
1
Seems cheaper and easier to just provide good content.
3
Ah but the trick is getting upvotes when your content *isn't* good

That is not how Reddit works, it is a circlejerk game, what is upvoted first to a submission sets the internal circlejerk. First off over half of posts are ignored, and often the same content that was once ignored, gets subsequently massively upvoted: >http://www.randalolson.com/2015/01/11/over-half-of-all-reddit-posts-go-completely-ignored/ Just look at the "unidan effect": >http://mashable.com/2014/07/31/unidan-banned-reddit-permanent/#5BDQU4ZYzGq8 >Reddit user Unidan, known off of the Internet as biologist Ben Eisenkop, has been shadowbanned from the site due to vote manipulation. >Reddit administrators discovered that Eisenkop maintained five side accounts, which he used to both upvote his own submissions and comments, and downvote opposing comments. >... One nerd with no life willing to create and vote with five side accounts was enough to beat the voting system, because people see what is upvoted early and adapt themselves: >http://web.archive.org/web/20130909115013/http://jeffdechambeau.com/redditing-to-the-mean.html >Because having higher karma is desired, users behave in ways that will get them karma (karma-whoring). Similarly, users who do not agree with the fat part of the bell curve are punished by losing karma. Posts with low karma are sorted to the bottom and are less-read and set out from the chorus. >It follows that the way to get the most karma is to say stuff that most people will agree with, that is, to be average. >It’s therefore in the interests of reddit users to be as agreeable and indistinguishable as possible from the average voice, giving us the hive-mind of tedium and mediocrity that we see.

There are a lot of typos on that websites and a couple of broken links (including arguably one of the most important ones: The "How it Works" in the homepage). That, plus the use of the first-person ("I") when talking about methods as well as the template website still using the stock video that comes with the homepage tells me that this is just 1 guy, with pretty good but not perfect English, trying to make some money using (possibly legit but hacked) Reddit accounts. It is most likely not the big, professional corporation it would like you to believe it is. In other words: This is just some dude that probably doesn't even have too much experience making websites or anything, it doesn't prove that Reddit is constantly under ad bombs. That is not to say that Reddit isn't being used as an ad platform though, [that is definitely happening](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjLsFnQejP8) and there are [legit account/upvote buying businesses](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxNvUWN3vYk). I'm just saying that ***this particular one*** most likely isn't one of them.

I really like this site, the concept of it it's great, the best forum alternative, post, upvote, downvote, easy reading, all that great shit. However all of that is thrown out of the window by the absolutely miserable community, the ease of censor and ease of false advertisement. I think I would actually use this service to piss on the romanian sub infested by liberal wanna bes failed abortions
