Let's all remember that the admins changed the frontpage algorithm and disabled stickies sitewide just because they considered the_donald using stickies to promote posts to be vote manipulation. Later on they re-enabled stickies but specifically limited the_donald's ones, preventing them from ever reaching /r/all. Yet, of course, anti-Trump subreddits are free to engage in open vote manipulation.
