A question about moderator replacements

When the moderation teams of large subreddits are replaced by censoring authoritarians all at once, which I understand has happened many times, do we ever hear from the original mods again? Do we know whether they are being replaced by force? I ask because I've started up a few free-speech friendly subs. If it's likely that I'll just have them stolen from me once they get popular I'm less inclined to bother trying to create something good here at all.

Who knows, but whenever you see people doing shady shit for reasons they won't reveal it's a safe bet $ was involved.

Yea like what happened to u/ohsnapyougotserved the former head mod on the_donald? Here is some tricks you can use to not get your sub taken from you by the reddit gestapo, say your muslim, say your a pedophile, or say your a communist. Thats all these people care about, muslims, pedophiles, and communists. In fact im starting to realize its all the entire left cares about (plus western genocide).
