I’ve had two posts deleted from r/nintendoswitch because that mod disagrees with my game tastes.

Both posts were deleted for not being “thought provoking” enough to spark conversation. DESPITE the fact that both posts had over a dozen commenters, ALL CONVERSING, within 5 minutes of posting. Who is he to decide it’s not worth conversation if people are CONVERSING?! I looked him up and found out that he is a professional player of games I expressed distaste for. How convenient. Edit: what’s more infuriating is that the same i day I posted one of these, he left up a post on the sub that was a “discussion” and literally the post just said that OP loved the switch and hadn’t been that excited to game in years. Really? That’s a thought provoking discussion? You like the game system that the sub is devoted to?

I think its pretty obvious if you didn't like Splatoon, you wouldn't like Splatoon 2. Maybe the mod thought you were asking stupid questions.

Not necessarily. There were a lot of changes made to the game, so I listed the things I didn’t like and asked if the new changes would help someone get into the new game more than the old one. I would have posted in r/splatoon but obviously everyone there loves the game and might not have the same perspective, I was hoping to get less pro-game biased opinions. Again none of this is important but it does seem like that mod censors the sub based on what HE deems to be worthy, regardless of whether other people are interested in the topic.

The thing that really bugged me was how many posts go up daily, and stay up, that are literally just people commenting that they love their switch. No duh. We all love our switch that’s why we follow the switch sub. It seems pretty biased.

My husband posts in a lot of pro gun subs but he never strays into the anti gun ones. I mostly only follow entertainment subs, nothing political.

No we don’t! We have separate accounts but he talks to me about his political discussions a lot so I’ve seen them and heard about them! I just get really tired talking politics online. I know this post is more light hearted than most on this sub but it was the only applicable sub for me to rant and get it off my chest and now I feel better!

What really bothered me is the amount of posts I still see there DAILY that spark no conversation, despite having the discussion flair. Things like “I love the switch!” Fly but my posts were instantly taken down.

I just post in game specific subs now. Or not at all. That sub is clearly geared in a certain direction and it’s not actually game discussion based.
