Actually banning users from a sub solely because of the user's activity on a different sub is against mod guidelines. However Reddit Admins admit they don't proactively enforce this, they only take action if they get a bunch of reports/complaints about it. I suggest complaining to the admins about this.

It doesn’t work (complaining to admins). But I hope everyone on this sub is disturbed by this. The best advice my grandfather ever gave me: “you need to listen to the things you don’t want to hear”. He survived WW2 concentration camps. Freedom of speech, especially speech you disagree with, is the most important thing America has.

Unfortunately a lot of people seem to think 'stopping fascism' or whatever is best done by silencing fascists. Alex Jones / infowars / etc may be a bit crazy, but censoring their media channels does not stop their message, it turns their message into a martyr of sorts and further energizes their viewers. Same thing here.

r/Kotakuinaction is another sub that will cause you to get banned if you post there. I think the whole thing is stupid and I didn't know it was against the rules. I thought it was one of those things that was just accepted without question. IT doesn't matter much anyway though for me. I don't care either way.

I got banned from offmychest for suggesting to a woman who got attacked to carry a weapon or some way to defend herself. I was respectful but apparently “victim blaming” and the woman also PMed me, telling me to kill myself among other things, but the mods did nothing when I showed them. Offmychest sucks.
