Naturally, for the most part. They operate with groupthink so it's hard to say exactly how many are leftist, but the mob mentality certainly is in effect with a rogue agent here and there. Why else would they censor? Censorship is a leftist philosophy.

That's not why it was removed, it's the excuse they gave for removing it. Removing that number made it easier to game the system without exposing that it is being gamed on purpose, and every major change since has had the same intent.

There are federated Reddit alternatives being developed right now, [Prismo](https://mastodon.social/@prismo/100164341356492119) and [Anancus](https://floss.social/@tuxether/100474377779828969). At the moment, though, there's Raddle.me (or a seperate [Postmill](https://gitlab.com/edgyemma/Postmill) instance), Voat, Phuks, or a [notabug.io](https://github.com/notabugio) instance. There are more that come and go on /r/RedditAlternatives, too.
