I'm hoping it gets better. The point isn't to kill it, it's to heal it. I think the first step is to stop the whole "if you disagree with me then you need to leave" mentality. I'd rather be friends and have a conversation than be silenced.
It also makes you susceptible to groupthink and safespaces. I'd rather go to a place that has open discussion and allows all viewpoints. If they are not a valid viewpoint then let's discuss why and hold their views accountable. I believe in transparency which is why I avoid those types of safespaces.
Actually, to prevent being rate-limited, you'll need to earn that karma in the sub you want to post in.
Once you realize there is no spoon, a ten minute time-out really isn't that restrictive. It only becomes so when you're posting on a hot recent topic with lots of eyeballs. "Wrongthink" there and you'll get the normal groupthink talking point responses from multiple ~~people~~ usernames at the same time.
The bullshit part is that it was allowed back onto "popular".
It'd be great to just ignore it, if it weren't right there - being used to shape the narrative.
> The bullshit part is that it was allowed back onto "popular".
This totally wasn't because there was an upcoming midterms or anything, ^^^^/s but I forget what spez claimed was the exact reason.
Don't be surprised if you're account also gets suspended. I've been suspended, twice, for messaging the mods and asking them to do what their rules and reddit's rules say they should do. They'd just mute me, so I'd wait then politely message again. This went on for weeks then I was suspended for three days. Then there was the time I asked /r/WorldNews to enforce their rules. It was maybe two total messages from me. Then 24 hours later my account is suspended, this time for a week.
The mods of these leftist havens are in bed with the admins. They simply gesture and bam, you're suspended. You're not allowed to question, you aren't allowed to ask them to do what they say they're going to do. Wrongthink is being silenced.
I appreciate your concern, friend.
This site is shit, and I only bother commenting so that one in a hundred people who see it might consider things for a moment and have a chance to see through the lie.
I spent tens of thousands of dollars advertising on Reddit and have seen first hand what a shit show the company is. They are a burning scrap heap that knows their existence relies heavily on being allowed to accept money in return for narrative.
Lol it's just highlighting how ready people are regardless of side to go on a crusade. Too many dont really care about fact checking, just weaponizing it for their benefit.
The whole "this is MAGA country", obviously trying to blow up the whole trump supporter/racist narrative. It was all over that sub when people thought the lynching was done by Trump supporters. How wasnt it political?
