I don't like gab either, but I digress. The Firefox subreddit moderators will delete and censor anything that they deem "mean" to Mozilla and Firefox. If you tell people how to get removed features back, they'll suspened and then ban you. For a browser subreddit, the amount of censorship is ridiculous Wow. Unsurprisingly I was banned. https://i.imgur.com/tIv6x86.jpg Looking further into this, it's one mod, specifically /u/Kylde.

>Looking further into this, it's one mod, specifically /u/Kylde. errm, no, it's ONE mod bothered to take the time to explain, knowing it would cause uproar :)

Oh sure sure.

It's bad enough being an internet janitor without being a bundle of sticks.

But, does a (web) janitor not use a giant stick or a bundle of them in their job to clean? :>)

Hi. I'm a Firefox addon developer who was banned for supporting free speech. I wasn't part of any brigade (I have months [maybe years?] of history in /r/firefox). Can you please reconsider this blanket ban?

same here. I didn't get an answer from the mod team. I'm currently checking so for translating extensions to brave; appearently it's not that difficult. To be honest, I'm quite suprised that the mod team at /r/firefox moderates condones the damage for mozilla. But I guess it's called "cultur war" for a reason

So you’ve managed to amass a group of moderators who don’t believe in telling the truth? That’s even worse, and kills any hope that your subreddit will improve.

Here is u/kylde actively lying about the reasons for post removals: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/bce37x/we_need_to_talk_about_censorship_in_this_subreddit/ekpw8lv/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app You can find evidence that he’s lying simply by viewing the thread I linked. Many civil comments were removed. Particularly, any comment containing evidence of Mozilla’s censorship was removed.

Did your reply to that ban and ask why and/or if you can (deserve) an unban? I was banned from the Firefox subreddit via participating in a Dissenter thread. The ban was a literal mistake on one mod's part.

So sad. I've used Firefox since way back in the Phoenix days, then Firebird... always liked team Mozilla. Now we find out they've turned into rabid leftist censorship freaks, like so much of the corrupt tech industry. :( FU firefox. Moving over to waterfox or something now. Looking forward to try the browser that Gab is going to develop. Seems they're the only ones in town with any shred of integrity.

How about Brave?

Made by the former CEPO of Mozilla, the creator of JavaScript, who was ousted from his position for privately making legal donations to political organizations.

That went out the window back when they fired Brendan Eich.

I just uninstalled FF, I do not care who's ideas they are quashing the very act of doing so makes Mozilla no longer an option for me.
2
Just a thought though: Do we geniunely have a better alternative than FF at this point?

I am trying The Brave and Comodo Dragon, Chrome based without the snooping supposedly.

brave was invoved in a privacy scandal just a couple of months ago. do a bit of a background check on it and you will see for yourself, as im on mobile atm. as much as i have my doubts about the intentions of mozilla now, i think firefox and derivatives are still the best option for now. just be sure to disable all telemetry.
1
Well I just uninstalled brave!

Is there an alternative to Thunderbird that is similar to brave browser?
2
Thunderbird is the email client, right? I use Postbox and have been using it for years. It's not free, I know. But I've never had a complaint.

javascript:void\(eval\(window.location.href="https:\/\/dissenter\.com/discussion/begin?url="+escape(window.location.href\)\)\) Just make a new bookmark and paste this code into the location box. Whenever YouTube (or any other site, including reddit) has comments disabled (or you don't want to get permabanned on Twitter for agreeing with wrongthink) simply open the bookmark while on that page. I only tried this on a Firefox fork, but it should work with all browsers. I was too lazy to keep pasting URLs into the bookmark I had with a blank url querystring variable. Hopefully the fact that \no browser extension is necessary will make this more accessible and thus more prolific. Anyone know if the development team is on reddit?
