Was sorting by new, and wanted to answer what looks like an honest question that could have had a good discussion on new wounds and current events vs more historical happenings. I get that bringing Judaism into a conversation on the internet is asking for problems, but don't punish the inquisitive.

> I get that bringing Judaism into a conversation on the internet is asking for problems is it though? really? Why should they be treated any different to everyone else. They've outplayed that victim card, it no longer has any meaning.

I hope you’re not commenting from Florida or expect a knock on the door you anti Semitic scum. /s

US of Australia, it'll take them a while.

Oh I don't think you need to walk on eggshells around anyone if you're being honest and fair. However, you're on the same Reddit that I am, where people are racist and edgelords. I can see how it's a can of worms to moderate, but I'd rather see them solve it the way r/blackpeopletwitter did, with flair that lets you comment on things that are more difficult to moderate with a full subreddit of front page users. I tried messaging the person too, so they can at least have some dialogue.

How /BPT does things is blatantly racist and abusive, on purpose.

I meant how they use flair to automod people in conversations where people aren't remaining civil. Edit: Forgot to mention I agree that they're intentionally racist.

Don't like the whole idea. Just say the entire sub is totally for one thing only... or not. That shit is pure cancer. Imagine it was done for *white* people only... LOL oh holy shit, you KNOW the rabid leftist admins would ban it faster than a 7 year old "tranny" can get $50 stuffed in his panties. by grown men in a homosexual strip club. (which reddit admins have no problem with) This is the level of "integrity" we're dealing with. You have to walk on eggshells in most of the defaults and the vast majority of other places on reddit... To speak your mind... in any sort of reasonable, wholesome ideology, gets blasted and censorship. Back on topic.. refernce to the OP exchange.... Gotta notice why such is so, so common here... huh?

I think my answer would be because we were directly involved in one and not the others.

Tbf, the locking may have been due to that not really being an ask Reddit sort of thing. This question is more discussion oriented (no one can truly answer it), while ask Reddit is mainly about answers from life experience.

Go for nostupid questions or too afraid to ask

Wasn't my post, but I'll sub both to see less censorship. Thanks!

/r/NoStupidQuestions No censorship Pick one. I've definitely made a fair number of posts on this sub about their censoring ways. Those mods can suck a callapilla dick.

I'll answer: because it most directly effects us, where the others do not.

That's what I said as well. I also mentioned that when you consider how infrequently things are added to curriculums in public schooling, that WWII constitutes current events in a historical standpoint.
1
The US was directly involved in the surrounding events, and the guilty party admits to having done it. Turkey still denies the Armenian genocide, and China, of course, has never been involved in genocidal actions s/

But the holocaust effects me in no way whatsoever.
1
Neither does any other historical event. Not directly at least. Nobody can force you out of self-imposed ignorance.
8
That's a pretty good question, but only antisemites would look deeper into it. You aren't an antisemite, are you?
9
That's a pretty rude assumption to make. No, I'm not. I've just been online long enough to see people hating on one another from the safety of their keyboard. Look at the terrible things men will say to women who reject their advances online, and these are women they were interested in mere moments earlier.

Yeah, I am

If only he were asking you.

He was asking everyone, and I answered.
2
You ≠ Everyone

This has GOT to be sarcasm. Please say it is sarcasm. Poe's Law 'n all that.

I'll be honest here. You're a fucking retard.

It's actually a goddamn good question. Selectivity at it's finest.
7
(((Selectivity)))

Maybe because it's in a (((certain))) groups best interest to constantly be know as victims

The stupid thing is that the OP isn't saying that we (as humans, wherever you are) shouldn't learn about the Holocaust, they are questioning why we don't learn about these other horrific genocides alongside the Holocaust. It's funny, when I went to the Holocaust museum on the mall in Washington D.C. one of the biggest things I took away was the idea that we can't let it happen again. Yet it is currently happening in countries like China at the moment with the Uighurs in the westerly region of Xinjiang. And no one really knows about it. Anyways, its such a shaim that it got censored, it could have been a really interesting toppic to discuss. If you'd like some more info on the Uighurs then [here's a really great Vox video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMkHcZ5IwjU) about it. --- On another note, if you are ever in Washington D.C. and have some time, I cannot recommended going to the Holocaust museum enough. It is incredibly moving and educational. Same goes for the African-Amarican museum. Although the top floors are more celabratory and up beat than the lower ones.
1
Did they say they locked it because of the holocaust being included? I would have assumed it was because it pointed out mass murder by communists.
1
That's what happens when you question the ideologues

For the same reason why we don't learn much about Eastern-Asian history in the first place.
