Absolutely insane. No prior warnings or nothing, just straight to Permaban. Is there any system in place to deal with triggered mods? Original thread: [https://www.reddit.com/r/canada/comments/du3h71/man\_wanted\_after\_87yearold\_woman\_thrown\_to\_ground/](https://www.reddit.com/r/canada/comments/du3h71/man_wanted_after_87yearold_woman_thrown_to_ground/) UPDATE: Got reply from mod. Yup, they were definitely triggered. Sad. Oh well. [Original BS Permaban](https://preview.redd.it/gjjvozvwkyx31.png?width=1880&format=png&auto=webp&s=dea3fd67f73891f91c4c7351b6136580f3b956e9) [Triggered Mod's pathetic attempt at saving face](https://preview.redd.it/2z6eo3499zx31.png?width=2647&format=png&auto=webp&s=5b7c3e49444362500d8a12d1c47823ed273b9110) [My final reply](https://preview.redd.it/4y9pwarq9zx31.png?width=1324&format=png&auto=webp&s=48184f113221b6e169e90d0e5520f666fb62479a)

Could have saved you two words if you just said “facts”. Fuck the reddit faggots straight to hell.

Between r/Canada, or r/Ontario or (arguably worse) r/toronto there is no worse moderation on the site. Including r/politics. You can literally be banned from r/toronto for saying that refugee's have to go home once their home country is safe. They banned one person I knew within 30 minutes. The reason? They thought she was an alt. No evidence, didn't break any rules - just banned, because. Meanwhile they have a rule about religious intolerance, and any thread regarding the recent opening of Chick-Fil-A was post after post of Christian bashing.

How sad that we live in times where discussing facts and statistics is a bannable offence, and that there are people out there who take moderation as though they have real power. \*shrug\* VPN

They probably found something in your post history.... I've been banned over that before lol

If ya check my history, I've only ever commented on hobby stuff. There is nothing inflammatory in my entire post history...

I think there were some Nazis that had hobbies. Therefore, you’re a Nazi.

Is it really racist though if the factual numbers support something? Is it racist to say that violent crimes are more common within inner city predominantly black areas?

Sad fact is I was actually referring to a trend where young adults and teens seem to be attacking the elderly and others who can't properly defend themselves. The overzealous mod just interpreted my comment as racist and refuses to give any benefit of the doubt.

I kinda figured that's what you were referring to. But even if you were referring to the way that demographic statistics indicate higher crime rates in certain areas, is that really racist?

No it is not.

LALALALALA BAN! You hear that? You are banned now, you racist, you!

I know you're racist because you're banned!

Unfortunately, certain folks these days attribute anything they disagree with as "racist".

No where on reddit are you allowed to post factual crime stats.

Everything is racist.

When everything is racist, nothing is.
