WOW! I was reading the comments before they removed them. Nothing bad. Most of the comments were just not supporting BLM or the companies that do. Calling companies like this pandering, etc.
-52
Not supporting BLM is not the same as spreading propaganda purporting that a civil rights movement is actually a racist, marxist multi-billion dollar corporation.

>purporting that a civil rights movement is actually a racist, marxist multi-billion dollar corporation. Who was doing this?

All the rational clear-thinking people who aren't caught up in the bullshit. But nobody in that comment chain was doing it, no. If you'd like to know why it's true, [Here's an article](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/06/12/make-no-mistake-blm-radical-neo-marxist-political-movement/).

Not an article. An op-ed in the Telegraph Edit: downvoted for stating a fact that didn't align with people's paradigms?

Glenn Beck's Wed 6/24 show on BlazeTV (paywalled) is a mother lode of detail about the group's finances, whom the money goes to and who decides. Even though it's funneled through ActBlue (Dem campaign fund), some does go to terrorist ops. I wish I were an IRS auditor, I'd have a field day.

I am doing this. It's a weird hill to die on, but fuck it, it's true.

> that a civil rights movement is actually a racist, marxist multi-billion dollar corporation. But it is though.

How so? Genuinely curious. I just struggle to see who would *profit* from the Civil Rights movement. I can see why modern companies want to go with the flow of public opinion, but that's just Marketing 101. If you don't have time to explain, are there any videos/articles/blogs that you can link?

BLM Inc. is a literal company they has employees who make a great living. They say they are Marxists openly. BLM targets businesses for their "support" if they dont capitulate they are faced with a PR nightmare akin to what Al Sharpton used to do, same tactic. You could say it marketing but really its fear - a big company does not give a shit about whatever nonsense BLM is espousing they simply want to sell, that is their function anything they do is to serve that and thats perfectly fine.

Okay I thought you were saying the actual Civil Rights movement (in the 1960s) wasn't genuine, or was a conspiracy for profit or power.
1
Im sure there was subversion, but one obvious difference is in the 60's they weren't looting cities and having nationwide riots. They also weren't overtly racist, which cannot be said for BLM.

I found that thread before coming here. WOW! reddit is going full 1984 on this one, they really are trying to shape a narrative of massive support, very odd.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
18
What do you think happened?
28
They nuked the thread from orbit
39
The comments were not bad, they just were not following the narrative.
11
What were they saying
14
just anti blm stuff basically. it was a wild ride

Wow they deleted everything!!!

"Corporate pandering is just there to get your dollars" and so on. The usual kind of stuff that reddit's corporate advertisers don't want on reddit.

>The comments were not bad ...You reckon? Original comments included: >Does the stencil technically make it monkey bread? >Of course they matter, who else are gonna pick the cotton? >Probably has poisen in it >Los negros son insoportables ("blacks are unbearable") - u/icumonsluts *before they deleted their comment.*

Those were not in the top comments. I never saw those. Even so, why would they have deleted all the comments instead of just those?
-8
>Those were not in the top comments. Understandably. And fair question. At a guess, it's probably Reddit's equivalent of "riot control". If the thread is devolving into an ugly shitfight, it makes sense to shut it down.

What the heck is that censorship even about? I took a gander and found some interesting thoughts in there. > Why haven't people been stenciling stuff on bread all this time? Billboard bread would actually be pretty fascinating. Or even just having the name of the bakery on it like that. Cool stuff. or this gem > english is a bloody stupid language. or as someone once put it, three languages in a trench coat pretending to be one language. It's a funny observation. They're not wrong!

> english is a bloody stupid language. or as someone once put it, three languages in a trench coat pretending to be one language. English is predominantly Germanic. But we borrow aspects from German, Latin, Greek, Arabic, and probably some others I don't know of English can be understood through tough, thorough thought, though. 😁

Quick, someone make them put a confederate flag on it, and when they don't sue them for racism/sexism/etc... Identify sexually as a confederate, so it's sexual discrimination. As per the last court case, they should have to bake the break, or be bankrupted.

Ive said it for a long time now, years.. Wander outside the main controlled agenda subreddits and see a political or social post, and watch how the tone is vastly different than what you'd expect or rather, come to find from an agenda sub. It's refreshing!

If the comments were really as innocuous as you all say, it's actually a really bad mark against the world and I don't think the truest answer is to just blame mods. People are becoming so afraid to even facilitate certain topics it looks like because of cancel culture and the reintroduction of public shaming. I could see if the comments were incendiary either way that would make you take stuff down for fear of personal reprisal or pain, but now it seems like a lot of people would just cut that out as soon as any discussion around it is had. To compound this no one will listen to each other and just screams their slogans and smirk that the other side can't seem to comprehend them. When asked to really lay it out with scrutiny applied, everyone, both sides, are most likely to just freak out that you're brainwashed or an idiot or whatever. Personally, I'm pretty heavy progressive liberalism but I want you all to measure and convince me of the merit of your thoughts. No one has really been able to do that in a satisfactory way and if I go look for it on the liberal side, not really any discussions like that happening outside or academia, and from what I've seen those are usually just one or two people writing a book, not two dissimilar groups fighting decently with their ideas. I hope we come out the other side of this and find a way we can spar our ideas without all this ugliness and distrust.
