Seems kinda fishy. Saw these two subs after a post about reddit banning thousands of subreddits. https://old.reddit.com/r/tech/comments/iddad5/reddit_reports_18_percent_reduction_in_hateful/

Freedom of speech works both ways.

There are limits on freedom of speech. I'm fine with the censorship of non-sense that could easily get people killed.

There shouldn't be, folks can say whatever nonsense they want. They'll be punished if they act on it.

I'm betting you didn't see any issues with the large gatherings that were the BLM protests? Even though most of them didn't follow "social distancing"?
-12
No I did. Didn't participate in any of that.

Like the corrupt Democrats encouraging & protecting terrorist rioters committing arson, looting, rape and murder in the cities they control? While at the same time refusing to let people go to work, feed their kids, pay rent? This is what is getting people killed.

They're rounding em up in Chicago so I don't know what city you're talkin about. Protestors are raping and murdering folks? Also the lockdown is over, at least it is in Illinois.

Only in front of the mayor's house. You can riot anywhere else, but in not front of her house.

Why fuck us? The thing is you probably misunderstand what most of us stand for. Most of us don't think the virus is a hoax many of us are fine with reasonable measures being taken. However, we are also concerned that lockdowns are making things worse and not better. People in no new normal sub do not want to live in the dystopian Society that's being imagined by some leaders such as wearing masks forever. In both subs we are against the nonsensical restrictions placed seemingly arbitrarily on small businesses and how large corporations are being enriched and profiting off a pandemic at the expense of those small businesses. We dont think Amy's Irving properly considered. A huge slant words physical house and none being given towards mental health or economic consequences

So you're one of the fuck heads going into grocery stores refusing to put on a mask and throwing a temper tantrum? That's why fuck you. Putting masks on during a pandemic is just what you do. Countries who started it immediately and stuck with it have had dramatically better outcomes. Stop watching fox news it's literally poisoned your mind.

No. I wear a mask . My whole family does. My wife is s nurse. Were just skeptical that lockdowns are the answer. We actually have multiple scientists our sub too! Don't you think it's crazy that no one really seems to question what the government is doing? I need more evidence showing these lockdowns work because it isn't looking like they do

Well, best practice is just that: the best we have atm. Who says it's forever? My country didn't lockdown: 5000 deaths. Taiwan locked down: 7 deaths. What are the options in your opinion? And are you guys really seeing tangible evidence for a dystopia emerging? With the spreading of crazy person-type theories nowadays like flat earth, bill gates micro-chips and what ever else unbalanced people dream up, I just don't know anymore. No vested interest here, not american.

Japan didn't lock down- why didn't, say, Tokyo become a covid hotbed if lockdowns are the difference between doing well and doing poorly? There even were cases early on in Japan, why didn't it spiral out of control considering they didn't lock down? Is it possible that other measures are just as effective as a complete and total lockdown while doing significantly less collateral damage? What about South Carolina? No lockdown, experienced cases, is doing MILES better than states that did lock down like for example New York. Is it possible that the lockdown has more downsides than it does upsides considering its effectiveness is demonstrably inconsistent or at the very least reasonable to question?
