r/beyondthebump - Long time contributing member receives permanent ban with no reason, seemingly for discussing the notion that the needs of the child should be taken into consideration rather than only the wants of the parent.

Modmail: https://i.imgur.com/8pY7Hmu.png Censored comments: https://archive.vn/DMAD7 --- I've observed a fairly disturbing phenomenon on the major parenting subs - they've turned pregnancy and childbearing into an activity that is all about them *(the parents, particularly the mother)*. And the health, development, etc. of the child is irrelevant. It's like they're treating human beings as toys or pets, and anyone who comes close to pointing this out gets attacked and silenced. These kids have no one to defend/represent their needs, and the parents & mods in those subs make sure of it.

Whats up with everyone hating kids now? First we had r/childfree and now parenting subs too? We're about to have a generation with all kinds of mental health issues

We already have two generations with serious mental health issues. Case in point, child-hating millenials.

I don't see any problem with /r/childfree. It's great that people who don't want children are choosing not to create them. What's problematic is people irresponsibly creating children when they lack the ability/desire to care for them properly and ensure they're healthy and well developed.

Yes, but theyre assholes about it. Look at the way they talk about children and mothers in that sub

Sounds like your a cyberbully judging by the fact that you are following this person around from sub to sub. Enjoy your downvote. I'd give you more if I could.

Followed them around? I'm confused, I barely ever post to reddit so no

Be civil and have an adult discussion. Don't come here and be a toddler.

Pardon me my lord

When you refuse to be honest about what this was really about, it's hard to take you seriously.
4
Just because you're trying to distort it into what you want so you can easily attack it doesn't mean you're right.

say what

Look up straw man fallacy if you need.

I don't need. I already know it has absolutely nothing to do with any of this. Except for maybe you are using "needs of the child" as a strawman to hide what you were actually banned for.

I'm not hiding anything. I showed all the censored comments and the modmail. People like you project your own emotions, weaknesses, fears, and biases on other things/people, thus distorting everything into your narrow preconceptions.

Dude you're trolling. You have strong feelings about breastfeeding, which has some decent science behind it, and you are obsessed with harassing mothers online about it. You can just say that.
0
I didn't harass anyone. Stop distorting things to fit your own prejudices.
1
I don't have any prejudices related to this. You're weird.

If you seriously think that then you need to do some self-reflection to figure out what's causing you to distort something like this so badly.
1
What am I distorting? Troll or weirdo, which is it? Or both?
3
What is it about other than what OP clearly stated? Would you care to elaborate?
2
OP is big on breastfeeding and goes after anyone who seems to be talking about not breastfeeding their child. He/she should have the courage to say that's what the ban was for, rather than trying to hide it behind an argument.
