Permanent ban from r/worldnews with no explanation!

How is this allowed? Who lets these people ban people on a ‘first infraction‘ without any explanation? I don’t know what I said to deserve this. If they want people angry at them then this is the way to do it. After asking to explain, they’ve now muted me too!

Reddit is a propaganda site. You gotta just read the news and stuff you enjoy, ignore the propagandists, and avoid the mod propagandists by not posting the wrong views.

I got banned long time back for saying this - “how does the sand taste” implying someone had their head in the sand. Also, I am not a liberal

Any idea what happened?

No! That’s the most frustrating thing! All I was told was something like ‘you must be under thirteen for making that joke and that breaks the rules for creating an account’ !?!?!

Unfortunately, mods can do whatever they want. You can be banned for no reason, you can be muted, they don't need to explain themselves - and keep in mind that if you create another account to circumvent the ban, you risk getting both accounts perma banned. You can ask someone to give you the list of worldnews mods and private message them individually - perhaps one of them will take pity on you and you will get an explanation this way.

Another option for reviewing removed content is your ***Rev***eddit [user page](https://www.reveddit.com/y/d!a!n!e!e!l!r!_!o!l!i!v!a!w?all=true). The [real-time extension](https://www.reveddit.com/add-ons/direct/) alerts you when a moderator removes your content, and the [linker extension](https://www.reveddit.com/add-ons/linker) provides [buttons](https://i.imgur.com/0BAImPq.png) for viewing removed content. There's also a [shortcut for iOS](https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/62bc7570613c42cb8b851fad264136df). The parent commenter can reply with 'delete' to remove this comment. I just got perm'd too...no warning...no explanation... I didn't break any of the group rules. The only thing I can assume is that they don't like my political beliefs (conservative). I didn't attack anyone, I wasn't hateful in anyway, I stated my opinion in a respectful manner and was downvoted to hell, verbally attacked, then perm'd. The comments of the verbal attacks were removed, none of my comments were removed but I was banned. I have reached out for explanation but no answer. Censorship should be unacceptable, especially when it comes to a news subreddit?

It’s getting worse over there in r/worldnews. I probably don’t agree with you either but you shouldn’t be banned for polite opinions.

Seems like more and more people can't handle differing opinions, and would rather live in a world/society where only their beliefs are allowed. Truly disgusting IMO. We are regressing.

Just did a little digging, turns out the account who verbally attacked me and had their comments removed because they were attacks, is not banned and is still doing the same thing.

There are underlying priorities there and I’m guessing that not all the mods agree with each other but don’t have the time to investigate every other mod’s actions nor would they start undermining each other’s authority. Reddit as a company doesn’t care because it’s all just traffic. I had previous accounts where I could criticise Israel (within bounds of reason) all I liked and nothing happened. Now it’s all changed.

Welcome to Reddit! I can't believe it took you five all days to get banned somewhere, must be an alt account. If you truly are new this isn't a democracy it is a dictatorship of the moderators of whatever subreddit you're on and know the people who actually control the site do not care.
