Comment on: The Q# Programming Language

Looks like an extension of F# with some added constructs. The MS way: destroy a non advertised technology, and replace it with itself and some fancy crap on top

Comment on: Is it good idea to throw an exception in .NET C# constructor?

I would say no. Most of the above could be refactored to contain a TryRead,TryParse or error handled method instead. Just like MS will suggest using Guid.TryParse over new Guid(string).

Comment on: IBM and Red Hat plan to vote against the module plan for Java's next release,

TLDR: Massive companies getting pissed that their shitty code will be "broken" by new revision and require regression testing, and would rather avoid doing full on rebuils. MS has to deal with this shit all the time, which is why IEnumerable is still in the C# language but not used anymore.

Comment on: Programmers in the Valley are pressuring their friends to quit working at Uber

People in Silicon Valley can't stop talking about the "toxic culture" at Uber after a former engineer, Susan Fowler, published a blog post a couple of weeks ago saying that she was sexually harassed and that when she reported the situation, HR penalized her.

Of fucking course. As much as Uber sucks as a company, this reeks of white knight bullshit. So Uber was a-fucking ok before this harrasment complaint? Did no one remember how Uber was getting sued for mis-clasifying employees, or when they decided to doing data collection against users was just fine and dandy? Apparently, the employees found that Uber was just doing fine at that point in time .. fucking retards
