I'm talking about the OLD old system. There was a time when someone's race was an unfair barrier to entry. They had to be MORE qualified than a white person to be considered for the same job. Diversity and inclusion for the sake of not making someone's skin color a factor in determining if you will hire them is a good thing.

Diversity and inclusion is good. It's bad if someone who's qualified to do something is forced out of a field because of racism or sexism. But it's also bad if it goes into the other extreme where standards are lowered for people of specific races.
It actually hurts other people of that race in that field quite a lot if they are properly credentialed and experienced. Imagine you're a remarkable black employee and your company just announced that they have lower requirements for minorities. Now every person that sees you, coworker customer etc, is going to wonder if you're really up to the job.
TL:DR: Racism is horrible and shouldn't be a part of the workplace but let's not be idiots
