Yet the majority of people see anti-mask posts as political. Who cares if you shouldn't wear it in the car?

Well that's how most people view it. Masks and vaccines used to be a scientific decision, but then around summer of 2020 whackos on the right decided to crusade against them. There's still a barn near me with a faded and hanging "unmask our kids!!" sign on the side.

WPT is super toxic. I spent like a week there and got banned for some dumb reason too. And I even generally agree with their politics.

It's political because conservatives have made a practice of hating immigrants and saying ignorant things about them, like "speak american!!!!"

Political because of the moronic antimask/antivax movement.

Following basic rules makes you enjoy soybeans? Weird, I'm drinking my coffee with literal real milk in it and I can follow basic rules. Maybe If I keep following basic rules I'll need to swap to soy? How long does it take?

No, you were banned for breaking the rules. What's confusing about that?

Comment on: Just got banned from r/pics for saying I live in the south and have never met a Nazi. Then got called a Nazi for asking why I got banned.
Na, it's a clear attempt to dismiss the idea that we have a massive problem with fascism in this country, similar to claiming J6 was Antifa. I understand the term perfectly.

Yep. False flag nonsense. Makes no sense either since the alt right is proud about their nazi love.

Na, only if you think the alt right is all a false flag. Dude got banned for saying the Nazis were just feds in costume; makes no sense when the Proud Boys are out there *proudly* spouting off their nazi shit. I've never met a Jihadist, but that doesn't mean I thought 9/11 was fake.

Bad faith argument. Tons of people openly admitting their far right views in this country and dressing up as nazis. It's a massive issue and one we need to deal with - dipping into silly false flag theories only distracts from the problem.

Comment on: Anyone notice the trend in subs that ban people
1: Reddit has always leaned left in general. Lots of women and young college aged people use it, and those crowds also both lean left. 2: Conservative censorship is as bad if not worse. r/conservative will ban you for literally anything that goes against their narrative. 3: A lot of right wing posters violate basic rules of reddit by falling into bigoted language or using hate speech. This parlance is common on the right, but is against the general rules of society.

You're qualifying. There's no reason to attack that story, true or false. Imagine how much of douche you sound if you go around telling Jews only 5.9 million people died in the holocaust, not 6 million. It just makes you look like you've got an agenda. I still think you do.

Ok so you made up the part about Dems wanting to ban guns and you acknowledge that all those western countries have less gun violence by far because of gun control. I think I made my point. Good luck!

>I meant democrat voters, not politicians. There are tons of examples of far-left Americans calling for the abolishment of civilian-owned firearms on twitter, tiktok, and on college campuses. I don't care what a few people say, I care about laws. >I wasn't talking about communist shitholes. I specified "free" countries, which was meant for that imply the Western world. And how are the gun deaths in those countries per capita? You're making my case for me here.

>Some American democrats absolutely do call for the abolishment of civilian firearm ownership. Most of them recognize it's a pipe dream, but if they could snap their fingers and make it so only the government had guns, they'd do it. Please link me a bill calling for that. I'm curious to learn. I follow congress closely and haven't seen anything. >In other "free" countries, eliminating civilian gun ownership is on the agenda of liberal politicians. They would prefer that only the government has firearms. They sometimes make small exceptions for manually operated long guns to be used only for hunting. The countries with the strictest gun laws are almost all authoritarian. Your theory doesn't pan out in real life. China, Russia, many places in Africa and Asia. Not exactly liberal places.

>If a government decides to ban all civilian firearm ownership, that is gun control. If somebody argues against that, it doesn't make them a "gun nut." In other words, you can support reasonable control while also being against draconian measures. No one is suggesting that. Gun control is about responsible laws and safety, just like all the other small freedoms we give up for public safety.

Comment on: Banned from R/Worldnews for being anti-Israel
What's your goal with all this? Ok, some of the stories about Oct 7 weren't true. The vast majority were. Why the need to argue this? What does it achieve? Again, yes, Bibi and others have allowed Hamas to exist, turning a blind eye to Qatar's funding. What purpose does this serve pointing this out? It was a bad plan and Hamas should have been dealt with sooner; it wasn't. It doesn't change the fact that Hamas are the ones bent on genocide, or Iran are the ones funding and pushing it. >Right wing Israeli government doesn’t represent all of Israel ask the families of hostages or people who protested every Saturday before OCT 7th What is this supposed to mean? Honestly, I think I see why the mods banned you. You aren't wrong, but that doesn't mean your goal isn't to stir up shit.

Comment on: I’m literally a registered libertarian and yet r/libertarian banned me for saying that trump is a threat to democracy.
I used to think that was just a casual insult to throw at people, but then my dad decided he was a libertarian. After endless hours of talking to him about it and seeing the absurd logical gaps in his thinking, I started looking at the movement a bit closer. I'd say *maybe* 10% are "true" libertarians. The rest just want rules for other people but not for them. My dad is certainly the latter.
