Comment on: android sends 20x more data to google than ios sends to apple, study says
We're not exactly sure what 20x could mean. 20x could mean 20x more pings of the same data over and over again and most of it is junk like device states and location. Apple could very well be sending more critical usage less often. A measure like 20x doesn't mean anything unless we know exactly what's being said. Edit* as it turns out this was exactly the case, with apple sharing MORE sensitive data like location due to their implementation of the "Find my" feature as part of an ad-hoc mesh network.
